Star Wars star Daisy Ridley says she’s open to joining either the MCU or DCU franchises in a recent interview. Shocker, I know! Why an actor would want a part in another billion Dollar franchise escapes me as well folks. Ridley has of course got one franchise under her belt already in Star Wars. Ridley starred in the sequel trilogy and I think did a good job with what she was given to work with script wise, which wasn’t much.
However, not long after The Rise of Skywalker had alienated even the fans of The Last Jedi, Ridley was quoted as saying she wasn’t getting work. That at least seems to have improved greatly and Ridley is out there promoting her new action film Cleaner. We also know there are more Rey stories coming, or at least one. Ridley gave an update on the that movie’s progress which we covered earlier today.

Speaking with ComicBook.com Ridley was asked directly if she’d be interested in joining the MCU?
“Look, I’m open to loads of stuff,” Ridley said. “I work with this amazing second AD called Matthew Sharp, and he texts me cause he’s doing Avengers, and he goes, ‘If they call.’ So I was like, ‘If they call, absolutely.’ I then of course love Batman, love The Penguin. I’m a fan of so many sorts of films. Yeah, I’m open to everything.”
Actor looking for work, heck, why not Daisy, go for it. I guess the question is then… Who would be a good character for Ridley to play in either the MCU or DCU? Erm, nothing is coming to my mind right now. I’m thinking female characters with a British accent and I’m only coming up with more minor roles. Still, I may be missing something that you have thought of, so let me know.
