I don’t have a VR set up, but I’ve heard good things about Vader Immortal. Well, today Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge, a brand new VR Star Wars experience was announced.
There is no release date for the Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge, other than sometime this year. To play Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge you will need a PC with a VR set up. That might be a real barrier to some gamers for now. However, VR is becoming more popular, and this Star Wars game will probably end up on PS4. Check out the announcement post below.
The wilds of Batuu await. Live your own virtual reality adventure in #StarWars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge, coming later this year. Follow @ILMxLAB and visit https://t.co/mVXi17qoJk for full details: https://t.co/4PG8PR0D4O #StarWarsTales #GalaxysEdge pic.twitter.com/hKMYlGS2eW

Here’s the official blurb for Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge.
Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge, taking place between Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and set on the outskirts of Batuu’s Black Spire Outpost of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, will give players the opportunity to live their own adventure and explore part of a galaxy far, far away in virtual reality. The original story will feature both new and iconic characters from the Star Wars galaxy with multiple styles of gameplay and difficulty settings to accommodate a wide variety of players, from Star Wars fans to VR gamers alike.
Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge is set within the sequel trilogy timeline. Therefore, my interest is slowly dwindling (joke, maybe). Vader Immortal is set to head over to PS4 VR this year, it’s a good bet Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge will be next.
What do you think of this new Star Wars VR experience? Leave your thoughts below as always.
