Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 announced by Disney officially today folks. Check it out.
Today, Disney+ announced the second season of the critically acclaimed animated series “Star Wars: The Bad Batch,” which will launch in 2022. “Fans have enthusiastically embraced the action and drama of “Star Wars: The Bad Batch,” and we are excited to see the Star Wars animated universe continue to expand on Disney+,” said Michael Paull, President of Disney+ and ESPN+. “As the dedicated streaming home for the Star Wars franchise, we can’t wait for the second season of this fan-favorite animated series.”
Commenting on the second season announcement, executive producer Dave Filoni said, “The entire Lucasfilm Animation team and I would like to thank Disney+ and our fans for the opportunity to continue telling the story of the Bad Batch.”
So there you have it, though, this news is hardly surprising. I’m pretty sure almost every fan knew that The Bad Batch Season 2 was coming. Who knows, there’s possibly more after that?

The first of a two-part The Bad Batch finale hits Disney+ tomorrow. Or, at Midnight tonight, depending on where you live. For me it was always clear there was no way the stories being set up in The Bad Batch Season 1 could be completed this quickly. So far most Star Wars animated series have improved greatly from Season 2 onwards. The Bad Batch may be one of the better opening seasons so far, but there are still issues. Let’s hope that Season 2 once again kicks the story into a higher gear as it did with both The Clone Wars and Rebels.
So far I will say I have enjoyed watching The Bad Batch and I will definitely be checking out Season 2 next year.
