Star Wars: The High Republic is an upcoming novel series set 200 years before the events of The Phantom Menace. The series will focus on a group of new, and from what I’ve read interesting Jedi characters. This is a big project for a galaxy far,far away and should be epic. The series received it’s very own crawl which you can check out below.

The opening crawl of the Star Wars saga films is the cherry on top of a sweet galactic treat. Paired with John Williams’ inspirational and triumphant fanfare and the anticipation of a brand new Star Wars film, the crawl is as much a part of the franchise as a lightsaber,
I’ve always favored the Jedi/Sith dynamic over the military factions. Sure, I like TIE fighters and X-Wings, but not as much as I like space wizards wielding swords made of light. So a story focusing on a time when the Jedi were in their prime,
I’m all in on this. Well, I would be if this were a set of films, a trilogy perhaps. Or the best-case scenario, a live-action television series. Though it’s always possible that the story will leap off the page and onto the screen sometime in the future
