Some Star Wars news as it has been announced that the trailer for The Acolyte hits tomorrow. Previously the latest Barside Buzz said there’ll be no trailer for The Acolyte until the May theatrical re-releases of the first six Star Wars movies. Check it out.

However, much as I would normally have said Cryptic HD is reliable for this, it was gazumped by this official post. This is not me calling out the insider as they still have a great hit rate. I just think the situation has changed recently since they were given this information by sources.

Ergo, tomorrow we will have the first official trailer released online for The Acolyte. Previously fans had seen a teaser at some conventions and that was released online in potato quality. However, this will be the first proper look anyone can access for the upcoming series.
The Acolyte was pencilled in for a June 4th premiere. However, as you can see, that date is now official.

No point saying too much else on this one till we see the trailer tomorrow. As you can also see though by Cryptic HD‘s post, it seems the first six Star Wars movies are being re-released to theatres in 4k starting May 4th. Some quick, easy money for Disney I think there.
I’m not sure we need this and a 4K presentation is already available on Disney+. Ergo, after seeing these films many, many times already, I won’t be going to see any of these. However, if that’s your thing, go for it. I am personally more interested in new content than re-releases of films I’ve watched more than any others my entire life.
