While the last couple weeks or so have been flooded with rumors and supposed leaks on Episode IX information, today we had word, albeit from an anonymous source that a large movie chain from the UK has received the first teaser trailer for Star Wars: Episode IX.
Take this information that originated with the website Fantha Tracks with a fairly large grain of salt but it does seems to be, at the very least, be getting close to the time that we get some sort of confirmed information about the final installement to Disney’s Star Wars sequel trilogy. You can check out what the source that is supposedly in the know with the theater chain said below.
“A major UK cinema chain has received a Digital Cinema Package (DCP) from Disney this morning called ‘TT1-SW9,’ (Teaser Trailer 1 Star Wars 9). It’s encrypted with a KDM (Key Delivery Message) so they can’t view the contents until they get the key. No news on when they’ll get the key, but they had the Aladdin trailer DCP for two weeks before it came out on Monday… therefore, Friday might be the day, but that’s pure speculation.”
Celebration is still the most plausible rumor as to when fans may get a title and/or a trailer. We already knew the title of Episode 8 at this point during that film’s production, but it seems as if the House of Mouse is being even more secretive than usual with Star Wars related information. Hopefully there’s some truth to this rumor and we get both the title and a teaser soon.
