Stephanie Beatriz & Arturo Castro Join The Lego Movie Sequel

Earlier today we got a look at a new poster for Warner Bros. The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part as well as word that a trailer will drop tomorrow. Now we also have word on some new cast members that will be joining the film as well as some returning ones thanks to reports from Deadline.


Stephanie Beatriz, who is well known for her character Rosa in Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Arturo Castro, who is know for his role in Broad City. They will voice the new characters Sweet Mayham, who is pictured in the new poster and Ice Cream Cone. They also confirmed the return of Alison Brie as Unikitty and Nick Offerman as Metal Beard. They will be joining the already announced cast members who will be returning including Chris Pratt as Emmet, Elizabeth Banks as Lucy and Will Arnett as Batman.

This animated film will be directed by Mike Mitchell who worked on Trolls and Sherk Forever After. The producers include Dan Lin, Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Roy Lee. It will take place five years after the first film. Our heroes will have to face a new threat to Bricksburg in the form of Lego Duplo invaders from outer space.
