The CW is well known for creating fan-favorite genre shows that include the likes of Supernatural, Arrow, The Flash, and Riverdale. In addition to having fun and engaging arcs in these shows, they also have a tendency to do one other important thing: create crossover episodes of the show.

Arrow and the rest of the CW shows have crossed over more times than we can count and Supernatural very recently had a crossover with, of all things, Scooby-Doo. While attending Heroes and Villains Fan Fest London, Arrow star Stephen Amell was asked about the possibility of Arrow doing a crossover with Supernatural. The panel moderator, Aisha Tyler, suggested that the different natures of the show would make it impossible. When asked if he agreed, he said, “No.” To be clear, that’s “no,” as in, it’s not impossible.

Amell continued:

“I would love to do it, though… I mean, the reason that we do crossovers on Arrow is because Greg Berlanti, when he was growing up, loved to see characters from one show show up on another show. So I would love the opportunity to work with Jared and Jensen.”

“I don’t know how it would work. I would definitely come to them, as in I would go to their show. I would take a day rate. I’d bring my trailer, for sure. Let’s not mess around there (laughs).”

Amell has always been the ultimate fan actor, and in after reiterating that he had no idea how it would happen, he discussed why he thinks it could be worth doing.

“…I would love to do it, because ultimately we make the show – my show, their show – we make it for you guys. We make it so people can enjoy it. And I know that it doesn’t totally make sense to do a crossover, but f**k it.”

While my gut is that it wouldn’t really work, the “Scoobynatural” episode proved that The CW isn’t afraid of throwing the tones of their shows down the tubes for a one-off in order to meet fan expectations, so you never know.
