I’m here with some HUGE, breaking news, ladies and gents! Here at LRM we only cover the hard stuff. The stuff that readers flock to in droves, so it’s only fitting that we talk about the Netflix series Stranger Things and its upcoming fourth season. While plot details are scarce, this early on, one outlet believes they have quite the scoop.
TVLine is reporting that Stranger Things 4 will “likely consist of eight total episodes.” This would put it directly in line with Stranger Things 1 and Stranger Things 3, with the outlier only being Stranger Things 2, which had that one extra episode where Eleven escaped to the city on a soul-searching journey (and as a side note, I’ve always felt that episode got a bad rap as it actually gave El some real agency that had been lacking up until that point).

While it may feel a bit early for us to have an episode count, the outlet also states that the show is set to begin filming this January in a production that will wrap several months later in August.
As far as the story goes, Stranger Things 3’s ending saw our leads separated for the first time, and from what we know, the new adventure will finally take them out of Hawkins, Indiana.
What do you think of the episode count? Is it good that they continue to streamline the narrative into eight digestible episodes? Let us know your thoughts down below!
