Stranger Things 4 To Tentatively Start Up In September

Stranger Things 4 could start up again soon.

America is champing at the bit to get back to work. We’ve all already been in quarantine for months, and jobs across multiple industries have suffered because of it. And though the coronavirus doesn’t seem to be slowing down, studios are looking to get back to work sooner rather than later — even in the States. Given how much Georgia has exploded as a go-to place for big-budget productions, it’s no surprise they want to lead the way in our country’s reopening.

“Georgians want to get back to work and show that we can not only beat this virus but be leaders in this industry to hopefully encourage America to get back to work,” founder and owner of Atlanta Metro Studios (AMS) John Rooker said. There are countless big-budget properties studios are hoping to bring back. Among them is a Netflix favorite.

According to the outlet, one of the many productions gearing to return is Stranger Things. The sci-fi series is currently set to return on September 17. It’s worth noting that this is a tentative date. Is with all things in the time of COVID, that could very well change tomorrow at the drop of a hat. That being said, I know studios are taking extra care to make sure their productions are safe.

I know there are plenty of fans who will be happy to see Stranger Things head into production for its fourth season. This was already a show that had a longer-than-normal break between each season (roughly a year and a half). With the COVID situation, it wouldn’t surprise me if we got a release that neared two and a half years.

More than anything though, I hope the safety practices Georgia utilizes will be sufficient to curb any potential outbreaks. It looks like many studios are testing out everything with smaller productions for the time being. So hopefully when they get to the bigger projects they’ll know what works and what doesn’t.
