Stranger Things’ Gaten Matarazzo To Host New Prank Show For Netflix

Earlier we received some new photos of the upcoming season of Stranger Things. Now we get word that one of the cast members, Gaten Matarazzo, who plays Dustin on Netflix’s nostalgia-filled hit show will be hosting a new prank show that will air on the streaming service.

The show is called Prank Encounters and will take two people who are under the impression that they’re starting a new job.  As you might assume, things don’t go as planned, and it’s likely that hilarity will ensue. The show will consist of an eight-episode first season.

The show sounds like it will have a bit of Scare Tactics in it, which if you don’t remember was a prank show that had a horror twist, and would not only find the target in unusual situations, but also intend to scare the crap out of them.

I do enjoy these types of shows as sort of a guilty pleasure and will surely check this out when the time comes. The closest series currently on TV that comes to mind is magician Michael Carbonaro’s The Carbonaro Effect, in which the illusionist uses his magic to prank the unsuspecting public.
