Actor Finn Wolfhard has certainly found a nice niche for himself. Despite only being 14 years old, he’s made a pretty good career so far off starring in delightfully spooky projects.
This year alone, he starred in IT, the adaptation of the Stephen King novel of the same name (which followed a town getting terrorized by a shapeshifting clown), and Stranger Things 2, a horror-focused homage to pop culture of the ‘80s (including Stephen King himself).
It doesn’t sound like he or his agent plan on changing their strategy any time soon. According to The Tracking Board, Wolfhard has hopped on board a haunted house project entitled The Turning.
This film is set to be an adaptation of the Henry James short story “The Turn of the Screw,” and it “follows a young woman who is hired as a nanny to two orphans convinced that their country mansion is haunted.”
Wolfhard will be playing one of the orphans, and Mackenzie Davis is set to play the nanny.
The script comes from The Conjuring writers Chad and Carey Hayes, so it seems likely they’ll be highlighting the spookier aspects.
At the helm is The Runaways (the Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart flick, not the Marvel TV show) and The Handmaid’s Tale director Floria Sigismondi.
