Succession star Matthew Macfadyen joins Marvel’s Deadpool 3 movie in an undisclosed role according to a report from Deadline. The Emmy award winning actor’s time on Succession is coming to a close as it is for all the other actors as the show ends on the current season. However, I guess Macfadyen has landed on his feet and will get his chance to impress in an MCU movie.
“Sources tell Deadline the Emmy winner is the latest addition to Marvel Studios’ Deadpool 3. Ryan Reynolds is returning to star, with Hugh Jackman and The Crown‘s Emma Corrin also on board. It is unknown who Macfadyen will be playing.”
“Macfadyen is best known for his scene-stealing role of Shiv Roy’s husband, Tom, on the Emmy-winning series Succession. The most recent season won him the Emmy and BAFTA for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama, and the final season premiered this past Sunday to massive ratings.”

I’ve yet to check out Succession, however I heard good word of mouth. The fact it is ending properly this year makes me more inclined to go check out the complete story.
I’ve yet to see Macfadyen in anything I can name, so making no comment on personal preference. However the fact Macfadyen just won an Emmy for his previous role means this is likely a great addition to the MCU.
Deadpool 3 will see the return of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine alongside Ryan Reynold’s title character. Looking forward to Deadpool 3, though at times readers will know I’m not that into Deadpool as a character. However, I still hope for a good movie and it’s starting to sound a little crazy, which I appreciate.
