The Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League game is delayed until Spring 2023! The developers Rocksteady Games have announced yesterday that the game was going to be delayed until some time in Spring of next year. The reasons for the delay are given in the social media post below.
We've made the difficult decision to delay Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League to Spring 2023. I know a delay is frustrating but that time is going into making the best game we can. I look forward to bringing the chaos to Metropolis together. Thanks for your patience. pic.twitter.com/VOSwTM6Zak

As a gamer, I am one who would rather a game was delayed until they can get it right rather than released a poor and unfinished game. Sadly with tight deadlines and shareholders these days there are always decisions to release games too early. Thankfully for someone like Rocksteady they can afford to take their time and make sure they get the game right. After all, what’s the point if you don’t? No one will want a sequel to a game that was poorly made and released too early.

This has been a similar story among many developers recently when it comes to AAA games. Really, given we are just coming out of the back end of the COVID crisis it’s hardly a surprise. So far other than the original cinematic trailers we have not seen much of this new Suicide Squad game in terms of game-play. Hopefully by the time we do see more, perhaps next year, the game will be in a much better position?
Going by that reveal trailer it seems like the Suicide Squad are sent on a mission to kill members of the Justice League who have gone rogue, or evil in some way. The trailer teased an upcoming fight against Superman for example and who know who players will pull that one off? How the game will work in terms of genre and game-play seems to be still under wraps for now.
What do you think of the news that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is delayed until Spring ’23? Thoughts below as always.
