‘SUICIDE SQUAD’: New Footage, Extra-Tilted Logo, and a Boomerang In Action Revealed in New TV Spots

It’s pretty much make-or-break time for Warner Bros. latest entry in the DC Extended Universe, SUICIDE SQUAD. The film has already had a few amazing trailers and several teaser/TV spots, and by this point in the marketing, most fans find themselves in one of three places. First are the fans that aren’t not sold yet. Second are those who are sold and don’t want to see anymore marketing for fear of getting spoiled. Third are the fans who are sold and want to see as much of the marketing as possible.

Let’s hope that if you clicked on this article that you fall under either the first or third categories, because these three TV spots contain a lot of fun little extra shots that we haven’t seen yet.

Among the highlights are a new, weird, super-tilted version of the logo, which you can check out a screencap of below.

You can see that spot below, which also has a few extra shots of footage and bits of dialogue.

In the spot below, we actually get to see Captain Boomerang’s boomerang in action. Sure, we knew he’d have a boomerang, but we’d yet to actually see it in any of the footage shown before (unless I’m mistaken).

Check it below!

And finally, this last one. There are no big reveals, but it’s just a well put together trailer.

If nothing else, every one of these spots have shown just how much the studio is treating the footage like a music video. Let’s hope it’s all done in service of the story!

“It feels good to be bad…Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?”

SUICIDE SQUAD hits theaters on August 5, 2016.
