Great news, soccer fans, your greatest wish has come true! I know you may not have known it, but deep down, you’ve always wanted to see the upcoming SUICIDE SQUAD team get their stats broken down by a TV announcer.

Okay, in all seriousness, WB UK released a silly and fun promo via their Twitter account. There they ran down all the main baddies and antiheroes we’ll be rubbing elbows with in this year’s SUICIDE SQUAD. It’s a bit strange, and if you’re not a soccer fan, it may do absolutely nothing for you, but given how big the ensemble cast is, it makes sense the studio would do their best to appeal to as wide a demographic as possible. There’s a pretty good shot that many soccer fans are wildly unfamiliar with the SUICIDE SQUAD as characters, and doing everything in their power to ensure audiences know who is on screen before the film comes out is a good move.

Check out the interesting promo below!

The promo itself is definitely a bit on the cheesy side of things, but at the end of the day, it’s meant to serve a purpose. How well does it serve that purpose? It’s hard to say, but at this point, it’s just a matter of getting these faces in front of as many people as possible.

Whatdid you think of the promo? Let us know in the comments down below!

“It feels good to be bad…Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity. U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do. However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?”

SUICIDE SQUAD hits theaters on August 5, 2016!
