Supergirl Goes To Mars In New Trailer & Synopsis For Season 3, Episode 3

The CW has just released the trailer for next week’s episode of Supergirl. This time around, Supergirl goes to Mars to help out J’onn in a very important mission.

The synopsis for the episode entitled “Far from the Tree” is below:

“Eliza (guest star Helen Slater) throws Alex and Maggie (guest star Floriana Lima) a wedding shower, which causes Maggie to reach out to her estranged father (guest star Carlos Bernard). Supergirl joins J’onn on a personal mission.”

Of course, Mars is no longer the Green Martian haven it once was, and as we see in the trailer above, it’s crawling with White Martians. But J’onn isn’t the last remaining Green Martian as he once thought. There’s one more who we’ll be seeing, and that’s J’onn’s very own father.

It’ll be cool to see how this trip to Mars pans out, but something tells me it’ll be a bittersweet trip for J’onn, and a highly informative one for Kara, who is going through some incredibly difficult times.

Supergirl’s next episode “Far from the tree” airs next Monday at 8/7c on The CW.
