Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow get’s a release date of June 26, 2026 making it the second DCU movie to hit theatres. Superman arrives this July, and we do have some Max series coming and filming already. Creature Commandos drops soon, but we have no release window yet for Peacemaker Season 2. We do know it will not release on Max until after Superman has hit theatres.
As per Deadline;
‘Put it your calendar to wear your tights and capes on June 26, 2026 as the Warner Bros/DC Studios feature take of Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow will hit theaters.’
‘The Craig Gillespie directed, Milly Alcock starring adaptation of Tom King’s 2022 comic book series Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, which Bilquis Evely illustrated, is the second feature title under the new DC Studios run by James Gunn and Peter Safran after the former’s Superman movie which hits theaters in July 11, 2025. Ana Nogueira adapted the comic book for the big screen.’

We also know that Milly Alcock will maker her Supergirl debut in another project prior to Woman of Tomorrow. This would indicate that either Alcock shows up in Superman or Peacemaker Season 2. Waller is an outside chance for that debut also. The series films this year and will likely drop on Max prior to June of 2026.
Gunn said of this version of Supergirl when the movie was announced;
“We see the difference between Superman who was sent to Earth and raised by loving parents from the time he was an infant, versus Supergirl who was raised on a rock, a chip off Krypton, and watched everyone around her die and be killed in terrible ways for the first 14 years of her life, and then came to Earth when she was a young girl. She’s much more hardcore; she’s not exactly the Supergirl we’re used to seeing.”
