Despite being part of the internationally popular musical group Black Eyed Peas, Taboo has a passion for toys, comics, and comic cons. Like many con-goers, he is a big fan in the convention halls meeting his favorite comic artists and writers.
After years attending comic book conventions, he entered into the comic book world through Marvel as a writer.
In his first collaboration, he launched his first comic series with Marvel’s Werewolf By Night alongside Benjamin Jackendoff. The pair previously worked together for Marvel Comics #1000 that focused on Red Wolf.
In this series launched last year, Werewolf By Night features a young man named Jake dealing with the effects of a family curse while trying to protect his people.
For Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas, he offered his insight from his Native American heritage to tell this story from a native perspective.
Earlier this month, Spirit of Vengeance: Spirit Rider #1 was released from Marvel, in which he wrote with B. Earl.
Spirit of Vengeance: Spirit Rider #1 follows Johnny Blaze after murdering his former allies on the Avengers. His nightmare is far from over. Something—or someone—is haunting him and only a Ghost Rider with the powers of a Sorcerer Supreme can find out why.
