A new gag reel video from Thor: Ragnarok has been posted on YouTube. An unusual gag reel as the video features the film’s director Taika Waititi partaking in all sorts of rambunctious mischief around the set, as some of the film’s cast comment on what it is like to work with Waititi. Thor himself, Chris Hemsworth, can be heard in the video saying, “Definitely the most light-hearted, fun set I’ve been on.”

Waititi is quickly climbing through the ranks of Hollywood, now that he has delivered a hit with Thor: Ragnarok, look for him to be in the running for other big name movies. Lucasfilm CEO Kathleen Kennedy has stated she would very much enjoy having Waititi direct a Star Wars movie, and honestly, that sounds like a fantastic idea and something that needs to happen ASAP.

The personality shown by Waititi in the video really shines through in all of his work, especially Thor: Ragnarok. The director appears to keep a very loose set, yet delivers some amazing work. Waititi is known for his contributions to Flight of the Conchords, 2016’s Hunt for the Wilderpeople, and the vampire mockumentary, What We Do In The Shadows.

Taika Waititi produced an amusing but ultimately forgettable movie, much like his “What we Do in the Shadows.” The Captain America, Avengers, GOTG 1 and most Iron Man” movies are way better.

I’ll agree that Ragnarok is overrated, just like the Korg character. But it’s not forgettable. It’s up there next to GOTG 2.

      • Smerdyakov

Yeah, pretty much on that level.

To me, Korg sounded exactly like the Geiko Gecko.

I’ve still only seen Ragnarok once, so I can’t say yet how well it holds up.

But I’ve seen What We Do In The Shadows probably 4 times, and I still love it!

My only wish for Infinity War is for Thanos to kill Korg in the opening 5 minutes, like the owl on HP. Everyone seems to be on his band wagon and it would be a great way to make audiences hate him off the bat.

Not a great gag reel, but THOR: Ragnarock was a great time at the movies. I laughed my ass off.
