This timely story takes a different look to dispel “the model minority” of Asian-Americans in the country as smart, successful, and subservient. Take Out Girl looks at the realities that Asians are struggling too that forces many into the desperate measure and the lure of greed.
I had the chance to view the film during the Cinequest film festival before the pandemic shutdown. It was one of the better indie films that blend good characters, storytelling, and some action.
