Tales Of The Jedi Details Revealed – Plus No Rogue Squadron In 2023

Star Wars: Tales Of The Jedi Details Revealed - Plus No Rogue Squadron in 2023

Star Wars: Tales of The Jedi details have finally come to light. Plus no Rogue Squadron listed for 2023 in yesterday’s CinemaCon Disney panel! Read on for more details.

Ahead of Star Wars Celebration the panels have all been published and there is one for Tales of the Jedi. Fan’s will likely remember that in the last Disney Investor presentation a logo was seen for a show no one knew about. It was titled Tales of the Jedi and whilst no details were provided that day, fans assumed this would be an anthology animated show.

Well, it’s true, all of it.

On Saturday, May 28th Celebration will have a panel for Tales of the Jedi as revealed in the official panels line-up in the link above. The only details are what you see below.

Introducing Tales of the Jedi, animated anthology shorts. Hosted by Amy Ratcliffe with special guest Dave Filoni.

I guess the only things we can take from this small piece of text is a hint that Filoni might be involved in the show in some capacity? Tales of the Jedi is a series of animated anthology shorts. I’m therefore thinking something like Star Wars: Visions but perhaps with the one consistent animation style? However, that’s just a guess on my part and until Celebration we likely won’t get any more details.

Rogue Squadron Still Dated For December '23 In Latest Disney Slate

Additionally yesterday saw the Disney presentation at CinemaCon and the studio went through all their movies coming this year and next. Notable by it’s total absence from the presentation was Rogue Squadron. The movie was delayed, but never officially by Disney at any point. That means officially the movie was still dated for December ’23. However with no mention of the movie coming in 2023 yesterday it seems highly likely that Rogue Squadron is delayed. For whatever reason Disney does not want to make that official just yet and would rather just say nothing.

At this point I have no idea when or even if we will see the Rogue Squadron movie? Guess we shall have to wait and see if anything is discussed at Celebration? In the mean time, we do have Tales of the Jedi, and that sounds like a cool show to me.

What do you think of the Tales of the Jedi details? Additionally what do you think is happening with Rogue Squadron and will we ever see the film in theaters? Thoughts below as always.
