Actress Taraji P. Henson will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at the end of the month. The event is scheduled for January 28th. Henson will join a long line of talents in all forms of media that have had their names enshrined onto stars along the 15 blocks of Hollywood Blvd in Hollywood, CA. Established in 1958, the Walk of Fame has more than 2,600 enscribed stars.

Henson’s career spans over twenty years in both television and motion pictures. Her career started with one-time appearances on shows like Sister, Sister, The Parent ‘Hood, ER, and Felicity. After appearing in The Adventures Of Rocky & Bullwinkle, it was Henson’s supporting role as Tyrese’s girlfriend/baby-momma Yvette in 2001’s Baby Boy that officially kicked off her film career.
Since then, she’s been in such films as Hustle & Flow, Four Brothers, Smokin’ Aces, Talk To Me, Larry Crowne, Date Night and Think Like A Man. Along with her film career, she has continued to give superb television performances with her roles in Boston Legal, Person Of Interest and Empire. She received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her performance as Queenie in The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button and delivered an excellent performance alongside Octavia Spencer and Janelle Monáe in the Oscar-nominated film Hidden Figures.
