The second season of Netflix’s remake of the classic Lost in Space series is just a few months away from release. Last year when the first season of the series was released, it did very well on the streaming service and it’s looking to do the same with it’s second season looking to bring in loyal fans as well as new viewers. This past weekend at New York Comic Con, we got our first look at a teaser trailer for the series as well as a poster and some images from the upcoming season. The ten episode second season of Lost in Space that debuts on December 24th, which is a great time for binge watching, will begin months after the events of the end of the first season. We will find the Robinson family marooned in a mysterious ocean world and a determined Will Robinson, played by Maxwell Jenkins, trying to find his robot that was lost. Jenkins will be rejoined by Molly Parker who plays Maureen Robinson, Toby Stephens who plays John Robinson, Taylor Russell who plays Judy, Mina Sundwall who plays Penny, Parker Posey who plays Dr. Smith and Ignacio Serricchio who plays Don West. They are joined by JJ Feild who plays Ben Adler, chief of advanced systems and artificial intelligence.

No doubt that this family sci-fi saga is going to be packed with adventure as the Robinson family deals with the antics of Dr. Smith and Don West as well as with a stubborn Will who seems like he will do anything to find his missing robot. Did we also mention that they are stuck on an ocean world with it’s own dangers that they will have to evade? This is the second season of what is said to be a three season story arc developed by executive producer and writer Matt Sazama. Although for the time being, Netflix has not yet renewed the series for a third, but that announcement is probably coming closer to the release of the second season.
