Tenet: Tom Cruise Does His Most Life-Threatening Stunt Yet! Plus New 10-Minute Featurette

Tenet is both a movie and a thrilling Tom Cruise adventure.

As many of you know, the world isn’t exactly back to normal yet. While the COVID-19 numbers continue to tick upward, the film industry is ready to push things back into theaters. And what better way to do so than with a Christopher Nolan film? Tenet is hoped to be the big movie that drives audiences to theaters in droves, in spite of the coronavirus pandemic. Yes, there are many (this writer included) who will flat-out refuse to go to the theaters until they are safe again, there is one thrillseeker who ventured out to cinemas.

He is known only as…Tom Cruise. Cruise, of course, is known for his brilliant acting work. In recent decades, however, he’s been all about doing that badass stuntwork. With virtually every film, he looks to find ways to get that much closer to almost dying. And as the actor revealed on social media, his next big stunt was going out into theaters with a crowd to watch Nolan’s Tenet.

Check out the video below!

As you can see, the Tenet video shows Tom Cruise approaching a random theater. Not to judge, but it doesn’t look like many are adhering to social distancing guidelines…

Anyway, regardless, we can chalk this up to Cruise risking his life once again for the sake of cinema.

But if that wasn’t enough random Tenet news for you, we have more. It’s a ten-minute featurette that digs into what the film is. Say what you will about the whole theater thing (I certainly have), but Nolan knows how to make a movie that begs to be seen. A film that truly take advantage of the medium.

In addition to discussing the inversion mechanic of the film, the featurette shows the difficulty of realizing this on the big screen. From the stunt work to the special effects, it goes to show just how much energy and effort Nolan and his team put into making this wacky film work.
