As Disney continues remaking their classic animated features into live-action films, we get an update on what one of the House of Mouse’s most beloved adventures, Lady in the Tramp. Actress Tessa Thompson, who has just been absolutely killing it over the last year, has been cast as the voice of Lady in the film. Along with Thompson, actor Benedict Wong, will voice Bull, an English Bulldog who is the friend of Tramp. who while having a long list of credits dating back to 1992, is probably most well know for playing Wong in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Currently in various stages of production are remakes of classic Disney films such as The Lion King, Aladdin, and Mulan, with Tim Burton’s Dumbo ready to hit theaters in March of 2019. The Lady and the Tramp remake will be directed by Charlie Bean. Thompson and Wong join Justin Theroux who will voice the Tramp, along with Ashley Jensen, who will lend her voice to the character of Jackie (changed from Joc in the Original film), a Scottish terrier and friend of Lady’s. This reboot will be direct to Disney’s very own streaming service which is set to launch next year.
