The recent The Acolyte leakers have been completely shut down by Lucasfilm it has emerged over the last few days. There were two leakers, working together who had the twitter handles Aesokas and Nuruodo and they began their very short career by leaking an actual scene from the upcoming Tales of the Jedi, which was actually quite the spoiler. Following this the pair began leaking details from the yet to film The Acolyte. At the time, no one knew for sure if these leaks were legit?
However as said above it has come out in the last few days that they have been threatened (legally) by Lucasfilm in some way. Their website FulcrumLeaks has been shut down. Both Twitter accounts and all their posts have been deleted. Additionally, some fans who reached out to them personally have been told they are done leaking anything else. It was only days ago really that they told fans Lucasfilm was after them when they released their most recent leak. I guess the Mouse found a way to get at them despite their anonymity.
If this is all true (could still be a big hoax, but unlikely) it probably lends more weight to the leaks they provided. LRM has only covered some vague details of these leaks over the last few weeks. The reason for that was, they really were too specific and got into real plot details of The Acolyte. We covered the setting, characters in play and the hints that Darth Plagueis could be, or become involved. However, the pair had episode breakdowns for I think right up to Episode 4. There was also artwork descriptions which the pair claimed they would eventually post online.

For me, these guys went hard, but too hard and too fast. I’m pretty confident one of our staff could have spoiled almost every episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi ahead of time, but we didn’t do that. We may have released some casting decisions or character appearances over the years, but never out and out plot details. Given how much of Obi-Wan Kenobi was leaked, (not by us) we also heard Lucasfilm was coming down hard on any leaks with potential job losses.
I can therefore totally understand why Lucasfilm/Disney has gone hard at these leaks. If they had kept some information back and just teased some broad details, I think they’d have been okay. Who can say though for sure?
All those The Acolyte episode breakdowns are still available through Reddit if you want to see them. However they are fairly spoiler filled and I’d personally warn against that. However, I aint your papa, so do as you will. I guess the candle that burns most brightly also burns out quickest, right?
What do you think of the news the recent The Acolyte leakers have been completely shut down by Lucasfilm? Thoughts below as always.
