Considering the wait fans have endured, the final season of Game of Thrones is really just around the corner. The epic eighth season is sure to be bittersweet at best, if it not totally crush the emotional states of fans. Winter is here, and the wall is down. The Night King and his army are marching toward Westeros, and as it turns out, the Night King is seeking out a specific person.
This information comes from the actor who plays the Night King, Vladimir Furdik, recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly, and talked about the how the Night King is on something of a mission. You can check out what he had to say below.
“People will see he has a target he wants to kill, and you will find out who that is. There’s also that moment [in “Hardhome”] when Jon Snow was on the boat and the Night King looked at him and raised his arms — there’s a similar and even stronger moment between Jon and the Night King this time.”

The ending of “Hardhome” did seem a bit personal, it almost came across as a show put on for Jon Snow, as if the Night King wanted Jon to see just how powerful he is. My question is, if Jon Snow is the target that Furdik mentioned above, why him? I would say that it’s far more likely that the Night King’s target is Bran, as they seem to have a pretty strong connection. I’m going to have to go look around on Reddit when I finish this article and see if anyone is talking about this. See what kind of discussions and theories are flying around.
