Add one more name to that future cast of Matt Reeves upcoming Batman. In addition to the already cast Robert Pattinson, Paul Dano, Zoe Kravitz, and Jeffrey Wright. There appears to be more actors circling the project other than Colin Farrell, and Andy Serkis. We know have an illustrious actress and recent graduate of Juilliard, Jayme Lawson, is close to securing a role in The Batman. Now, her role is not known, but that doesn’t mean we can’t speculate. Who could she be playing?

Could she be some undisclosed villain? What about one of the women often in and out of Bruce’s playboy facade lifestyle? Hell, she could be playing a member of the Gotham City Police Department for all I know. Interestingly enough, there was a video posted to Juilliard’s website and in that video, Lawson lets the cat out of the bag confessing Catwoman is her dream role. But with that role now belonging to Mad Max Fury Road’s Zoe Kravitz, just who did Lawson sign up to play?

I would wager one dollar that she will be taking on the role of Jezebel Jet. I mean how cool would it be to introduce the Black Glove and its torrid history with Batman in the film? A take on this character could also play with modern-day socialites or social media influencer culture. She’s not dull-witted either, having single handily deduced Batman’s identity, been invited to the Batcave and sharing a traumatic past similar to Bruce who lost his parents, is wealthy, and harbors a deep secret. All this is just speculation, but it is exciting. I just hope this Batman comes to fruition and is a massively entertaining hit. What do you think of how The Batman is shaping up?
