Well, this is a bit unexpected — but not in the worst way possible. We’ve known that Matt Reeves’ The Batman was in the midst of casting. We already have our Batman in the form of Robert Pattinson, and Jonah Hill had been one name being tossed around to play either the Penguin or Riddler. Hill has since dropped out, making way for other great actors to take on the role.

Now, it sounds like we have one name potentially joining the project. Variety is reporting that actor Paul Dano is in talks to join Reeves’ Caped Crusader flick. More specifically, insiders are stating that he would be taking on the Riddler role.

While Dano is no household name, the dude has been around since the late-90s, and is possibly best known for his role as Dwayne in 2006’s Little Miss Sunshine. More recently, he’s played big parts in movies like Prisoners, 12 Years a Slave, Swiss Army Man and Okja.

Needless to say, he has the acting chops and the look to deliver a memorable Riddler. I’d say it was a good choice! But what do you think? Let us know down below!
