Holy crap…is The Batman actually going to happen? After all these years of waiting, are we finally going to get treated to a new Batman movie? It looks like that’s a real possibility…though I’m still pretty bummed it won’t be a Ben Affleck-starring standalone, but them’s the breaks, I guess. But after a couple of years of false starts, it looks like there is some real momentum being made.

Recently, when asked about the film on Twitter, Matt Reeves stated they were aiming to shoot it around the year’s end. That pretty much gives us a rough, three-month window, assuming that they actually meet their goal (and we know they aren’t trying to rush this one out). Now, a new listing in Production Weekly has the film slated for “Early December.’

But how accurate is that? While Production Weekly does have a solid track record, we were burned not too long ago when they reported Nolan’s next movie was a romantic-thriller in the vein of North by Northwest, which was later refuted by our own sources…so they’re not perfect. It’s very possible they saw the tweet from Reeves and decided to throw it on the list without any real backing.

So, yeah. Rumor. Meet grain of salt. You know how this whole deal goes. But what do you think of this rumor? Does it sound plausible to you? Let us know down below!
