I must not be one of the cool kids anymore. Whenever these live-action remakes of classic cartoons and fairytales comes out, I can’teven pretend to care. And yet everyone- everyone!– seems to get excited about them, and many of them make a killing at the box office. I don’t get it. But hey, Beauty And The Beast already seems to be well on its way to being a huge hit for Disney. Why do I say that? Because the trailer, which premiered earlier this week, has broken a significant record:

Beauty And The Beast Was Viewed More Times In A 24-Hour Span Than Any Other Trailer Ever!

The trailer notched 127 million views in its first 24 hours on the net. That surpasses the trailer for Fifty Shades Darker (114 million), which had beaten Star Wars: The Force Awakens (112 million), to claim the #1 top spot in that category.

People are very excited about Beauty And The Beast, it seems. On yesterday’s LOS FANBOYS Podcast, both Jammer and Kellvin said they were absolutely going to see it- despite Jammer being unimpressed with the trailer. It would appear I’m in the minority when it comes to a film like this being a can’t-miss/must-watch proposition.

That said, I’d enjoy watching the beast rip ass.

*hangs head in shame*

That was a reference for our Los Fanboys listeners to enjoy. I’m still ashamed of myself.
