‘The Chosen’ Season 4 Making History With A Theatrical Release

In a groundbreaking move that is set to thrill fans worldwide, the historical drama sensation “The Chosen” has just announced that its entire Season 4 will be exclusively released in theaters, thanks to a partnership with Fathom Events. This is the first time a streaming TV show is making its full season available in theaters. “The Chosen” has taken the world by storm, earning its place as one of the most-watched series globally.

On Sunday night, the exciting news was revealed to over 3,500 avid fans during “The Chosen Insiders Conference” in Dallas, Texas. Additionally, thousands more attended the event virtually. Along with this announcement, attendees were treated to an exclusive first look at the “The Chosen: Season 4” teaser trailer.

For those who might not be familiar with the show, “The Chosen” is a historical drama that delves into the life of Jesus Christ and His followers, set against the backdrop of clashing kingdoms, rival rulers, and mounting threats. The Season 4 teaser promises to pick up where the emotionally charged finale of the last season left off.

Previously, fans had the opportunity to witness the premiere and finale episodes of “The Chosen” in theaters, creating a unique and immersive viewing experience. The response from fans to these theatrical events has been overwhelmingly positive, leading to the decision to bring the entire fourth season to cinemas.

Dallas Jenkins, the creator and director of “The Chosen,” expressed his excitement about the upcoming theatrical release: “Every time we’ve dipped our toes in the theatrical waters, viewers have overwhelmingly told us they want more. After seeing the Season 4 episodes, we knew we’d be doing our fans a disservice if we denied them the chance to see them all on a big screen with others they can laugh and cry with.”

Ray Nutt, CEO of Fathom Events, echoed the sentiment, saying, “We are thrilled to collaborate again with The Chosen team to bring fans the entire fourth season to cinemas before it is available elsewhere. It is a testament to the big screen’s power to unite people and have them share in this communal experience.”

The rollout of “The Chosen” Season 4 in theaters is set to begin with a two-week run of Episodes 1-3 on February 1, 2024, followed by Episodes 4-6 starting on February 15, and Episodes 7-8 beginning on February 29 through Fathom Events in the U.S. and Canada. The premiere episodes will also be released in theaters in LATAM, the UK, Poland, Australia, and New Zealand through a consortium of distributors.

After the theatrical run of the full season concludes, “The Chosen” will be made available on various streaming platforms, including The Chosen TV and mobile apps, as well as on broadcast and cable TV.

“The Chosen” has gained a massive following and become a cultural phenomenon, achieving impressive performance on streaming platforms such as Amazon Prime, Peacock, and Netflix. Additionally, it has consistently topped the ratings charts domestically on The CW.

What initially began as a pioneering crowd-funded project has since evolved into a global sensation with over 10 million social media followers. Thanks to the efforts of the Come and See Foundation, “The Chosen” is on track to become the most translated series in history, with plans to make the first three seasons available in 50 languages and provide subtitles in over 600. Fans of the show can anticipate an even more immersive and engaging experience as Season 4 hits the big screen, promising to take them on an extraordinary journey once more.
