Image Comics has Little Monsters #3 written by Jeff Lemire with art by Dustin Nguyen. This has been a delightful story so far and worth picking up if your vampire fan.

Week Two May 11, 2022

Image Comics has Nocterra #10 written by Scott Snyder with art by Tony S. Daniel coming out this week. This has been such an exceptional story with amazing art painting the story as well.

Marvel has a one-shot called Hulk vs Thor: Banner of War Alpha #1 written by Donny Cates with art by Martin Coccolo. For Hulk or Thor fans this will be a fun book to pick-up as Donny Cates does his best with the Hulk.

DC Comics has a vastly different, but interesting, mini-series coming out called The Jurassic League #1 written by Daniel Warren Johnson with art by Juan Gedeon. The title should say it all: the Justice League as dinos.

Dynamite Comics has a new Vampirella series called Vampirella Strikes #1 written by Tom Sniegoski with art by Jonathan Lau, along with variant covers to pick from.

Boom! Studios has a new series that I am excited about called Grim #1 written by Stephanie Phillips with art by Flaviano Armentaro along with a few sweet variants by the talented and beautiful Jenny Frison.

Aftershock Comics has one of my favorite titles returning with a new mini-series called Bunny Mask: The Hollow Inside #1 written by Paul Tobin wit art by the talented Andrea Mutti.

Ablaze has Life Zero #4 written by Stefano Vietti with art by Marco Checchetto. This story has been a fun zombie story as we see how our hero will save his loved ones while trying to complete his mission.

Week Three May 18, 2022

Moving into week 3 of The Comic Stash: May, DC Comics has a one-shot called Shadow War Zone #1 written and drawn by a great talented team to bring this story along with new villain Angel Breaker in this issue.

Image Comics‘ new series called Slumber has issue #3 written by Tyler Burton Smith with art by Vanessa Cardinali. This series follows Stetson and her team as they enter people’s nightmare and kill them off. The new case seems to have Stetson’s nightmare figure involved in detective Finch’s nightmare.

Image Comics also has A Town Called Terror #2 written by Steve Niles with art by Szymon Kudranski coming out this week. This new horror title by Steve Niles is just starting. We learn more about the main characters and the mystery of this town.

The new title for Image this week is I Hate This Place #1 written by Kyle Starks with art by Artyom Topilin. In this story we have a couple moving into a house that attracts ghost, aliens, and everything else, should be a fun story.

Artists Writers & Artisans will have issue #3 of Hit ME, which has been an impressive story so far and if you are looking for something fun and different this book is for you. Written by Christa Faust with art by Pricilla Petraites who brings us Lulu a call girl who steps into an underworld of trouble.

Week Four May 25, 2023

Now The Comic Stash: May is in the last week of the month. This brings us to Boom! Studio’s mega hit, Something is Killing the Children #23 written by James Tynion with art by Werther Dell ‘Edera. In this issue we see Erica is stuck and makes a call she does not want. Again this has been the best story in the comic world and the covers are amazing.

Marvel Comics has The Amazing Spider-Man 32. It is by Zeb Wells with art by John Romita Jr. coming out this week. The issue may be the end of our most beloved couple in the Marvel Universe.

DC Comics will have a spin off from their vampire series: DC vs Vampires: Hunters #1 (of 12). The story is by Matthew Rosenberg with art by Neil Googe.

Aftershock Comics has The Naughty List #2 written by Nick Santora with art by Lee Ferguson, coming out this week. This was my pick of the week when it first came out last month. It is a fun story. We get a vastly different version of Santa, how he lives his life, and what he has to deal with now that something very special was taken from him.

Source Point Press had a three-issue mini-series called Good Boy. It is a version John Wick, but his dog being the one seeking revenge for his fallen master. Now they bring use the second mini-series. Good Boy #1 is by Christina Blanch, Garrett Gunn, and Jon Jespersen with art by Kit Wallis, and Doug Mahnke. This number one will also have some different covers to choose from as well.

The last book I think you should be getting this week is from  Image Comics. The title is Step by Bloody Step #4 by Simon Spurrier with art by Mat Lopes. This is the last issue in this mini-series. It is an exceptional story without saying any words. The art is so amazing if you can see the story being told. But it has been wonderful to see.
