20th Century Studios is ready to debut “Vacation Friends 2” on Hulu on August 25. 

I found “Vacation Friends” to be a pleasant surprise when it was released in 2021 also on Hulu. I wasn’t sure if the dynamic between John Cena and Lil Rel Howery would work. When all said and done I found that this over-the-top comedy was just what I needed at the time to unwind. It also helped that they had great co-stars in Yvonne Orji and Meredith Hagner.

Now we are ready to do it again in “Vacation Friends 2”. Being two weeks away from it’s release, 20th Century Studios has released a new trailer and poster for the film. You can check them out below!

It would seem that literally and figuratively “Vacation Friends 2” will pick up right where the first one left off. Except now it would seem that the two couples are going to be getting into a lot more serious trouble.

Also, we see that there are some great cast additions to add to the fun. These include Carlos Santos, Ronny Chieng, Jamie Hector, and Steve Buscemi.

“Vacation Friends 2” brings back writer and director Clay Tarver and is produced by Todd Garner and Stuart Besser.

Here is a synopsis of the film provided by 20 Century Studios:

Picking up a few months after the end of “Vacation Friends,” this uproarious sequel finds newly married couple Marcus (Howery) and Emily (Orji) inviting their uninhibited besties Ron (Cena) and Kyla (Hagner), who are also newly married and have a baby, to join them for a vacation when Marcus lands an all-expenses-paid trip to a Caribbean resort. His reason for traveling there in the first place is to meet with the owners of the resort to bid on a construction contract for a hotel they own in Chicago. 

But when Kyla’s incarcerated father Reese (Buscemi) is released from San Quentin and shows up at the resort unannounced at the worst possible moment, things get out of control, upending Marcus’ best-laid plans and turning the vacation friends’ perfect trip into total chaos.

“Vacation Friends 2” debuts on August 25 exclusively on Hulu.
