The Crazy Way Hugh Jackman Could Make An Appearance In Deadpool 2

Hugh Jackman is done playing Wolverine. He certainly went out with a bang, as Logan is among the best comic book films I’ve seen. I know fans want nothing more then to see him face off against Deadpool in Deadpool 2. I know this, because I am one such fan. But it just doesn’t look like it is in the cards, true believers. Sorry.

However, there may be a different way to bring Hugh Jackman into the Deadpool Universe, and the idea is clever as hell.

Heat Vision interviewed Deadpool 2 writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick about their latest film Life, and in the process an intriguing idea came to light. Reporter Aaron Couch suggested to the writing pair that perhaps Hugh Jackman could make an appearance… as Hugh Jackman. Reese seemed to love the idea:

“Oh my gosh, that’s one we haven’t heard. That’s not a bad idea. I like that. Deadpool lives in a world where Hugh Jackman is out there. He’s got the People’s Sexiest Man Alive cover that he staples to his forehead in the first movie, so maybe he could meet Hugh as Hugh. That would be really funny.”

Imagine the possibilities! Deadpool beating down a claw-less Jackman for sewing his mouth shut. Deadpool cracking wise about how Ryan Reynolds is much sexier than Jackman. Maybe a trip to Australia is in order! Or would Jackman still give Deadpool the beat down he deserveswithout his mutant powers? Oh! I know! How about a sing-off? Even if it is only a post-credits scene, please make this happen, Fox!

Would you like to see Hugh Jackman make an appearance in Deadpool 2 as himself? Or is it Wolverine or bust? Let us know your thoughts below!
