The CW’s Black Lightning Looking To Add Another Member of the Outsiders

Without a doubt The CW’s first season of Black Lightning was a hit thanks to the great work by Salim Akil and Mara Brock Akil. We are not right around the corner to a second season of the show that will debut in October.

The show spent the first season setting up a world away from the Arrowverse (for now), focusing primarily on the Pierce family as both Anissa and Jennifer began to develop their powers. In season two it looks like they are looking to expand it’s cast with some members of the Outsiders.

According to That Hashtag Show, there is a casting call for a character named Emily Briggs aka Looker. They say that the show is looking for “a Caucasian actress in her early 20s who would be a major recurring guest star. Looker is described as a youthful looking woman with a soul that has lived for a long time, whose eyes are ethereal and whose look is penetrating. The breakdown specifically asks for submission of star names for discussion.”

Looker made her first appearance in comics in Batman and The Outsiders #25 in September of 1985. She was created by Mike W. Barr and Alan Davis. After being kidnapped and forced to be exposed to the rays of a piece from Halley’s Comet, she became incredibly beautiful and formidably powerful with abilities like telepathy, telekinesis. But later she was attacked and turned into a vampire.

It would seem like Looker might be a vampire in the television show as the casting call asks for a your actress but with a “soul that has lived for a good time”, which sounds like a vampire as they are known for not aging.

What are your thoughts of this possible addition to The CW’s Black Lightning?

The CW’s Black Lighting second season will premiere on Tuesday, October 9th at 9pm right after The Flash.
