The Dates For The Annual Arrowverse Crossover Event Have Been Announced

We now have the dates for the annual Arrowverse crossover event on The CW. It will feature three of the DC superhero shows, The Flash, Arrow and Supergirl. It will take place from December 9th through December 11th on The CW.

Here is the schedule as confirmed by The CW:
The Flash: Sunday, December 9th at 8pm
Arrow: Monday, December 10th at 8pm
Supergirl: Tuesday, December 11th at 8pm

The Flash and Supergirl will be switching time slots for the crossover event as Supergirl will now be airing on Sunday nights. This is already becoming a highly anticipated event as it will be introducing Kate Kane aka Batwoman, played by Orange is the New Black‘s Ruby Rose, to the Arrowverse. This will be the characters first appearance in live television and it could lead to her own standalone series, which is currently in development for the 2019-2020 TV season.

In the promo image that was released by The CW we see our three heroes The Flash played by Grant Gustin, Arrow played by Stephen Amell and Supergirl played by Melissa Benoist. Behind them we are teased by a red bat signal in the clouds, teasing of course the arrival of Batwoman. Check it out below!

It is interesting that this years crossover event will be leaving out DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. But with the introduction of a character like Kate Kane it makes sense that they would want not to have to share too much screen time with so many characters. Also we can see that they are staying true to their word of not adding Black Lightning, for now at least. We’ll see if the production team decides to release an image of Batwoman before the event or if they are going to keep it under wraps until the event premieres.

The CW’s The Flash and Black Lightning returns to television on Tuesday October 9th. Supergirl on Sunday, October 14th followed by Arrow on Monday, October 15th, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow on Monday, October 22nd.
