The Deadly Puzzles Are Back In Escape Room Tournament Of Champions

Escape Room

I am guilty of enjoying a well-thought-out escape room. Trying to solve puzzles in a high-stress environment sounds like a good time, especially with a good group of friends. In 2019 Sony Pictures took it up a notch and gave us the psychological horror thriller, Escape Room. In this film, six strangers came together to a mysterious escape room to try and win some money. But as we know it didn’t go very well. Now in 2021, we are ready to welcome the sequel to this film, Escape Room: Tournament of Champions.

Today Sony Pictures has released some images as well as a brand new trailer that you can check out down below!

Here is the synopsis for Escape Room: Tournament of Champions

Escape Room: Tournament of Champions is the sequel to the box office hit psychological thriller that terrified audiences around the world. In this installment, six people unwittingly find themselves locked in another series of escape rooms, slowly uncovering what they have in common to survive…and discovering they’ve all played the game before.

This film is directed by Adam Robitel based on a screenplay by Will Honley and Oren Uziel and Maria Melnik & Daniel Tuch. The cast includes Taylor Russell, Logan Miller, Indya Moore, Holland Roden, Thomas Cocquerel, and Carlito Olivero.

It looks like a thrilling film. I am looking forward to seeing what kind of creative and deadly puzzles they put the people through. I will be honest I get a “Saw Light” vibe from this film without the creepy doll. It will be interesting to see what the overall concept is by the end of the film.

Sony Pictures Escape Room: Tournament of Champions is set to be released on July 16th, 2021 only in theaters.
