Yesterday I shared with you a promo from Marvel’s The Defenders that put a strong emphasis on the supporting cast. In that clip, it was revealed that Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen Page and Simone Missick’s Misty Knight would be a part of the crossover event. Today, a new video confirms that three other characters- from Jessica Jones and Daredevil– will also get in on Marvel’s ambitious plans.

Yes, folks, we can expect Hogarth (Carrie Anne Moss), Foggy (Elden Henson), and Malcolm (Eka Darville) to factor in when The Defenders arrives on Netflix next year. Similar to yesterday’s video, this one also ended with the tag: “Those Who Surround Us, Define Us.”

It’s an interesting strategy for Marvel/Netflix, since you’d assume that their first instinct would be to put the Defenders themselves at the forefront- Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. By focusing instead on the supporting characters from these hit shows, they’re conveying the idea that these smaller characters are going to loom large.
