The Expanse is one of my favourite shows on TV, it’s fantastic and like many people I was dismayed to hear that it was being cancelled by Syfy channel. Of course we know that the show was ultimately saved thanks to the fans making an appeal directly to Amazon. So it was pretty cool that the team behind The Expanse put together this little video to thanks fans this past week at San Diego Comic-Con.

It also helped that Amazon’s Jeff Bezos is reportedly a fan of the show and ultimately Amazon did pick up the show and save it. Thank goodness they did, some shows take a while to develop a story and network TV does not always allow that time for a show to grow. For me Season 3 of The Expanse was the best yet and the scope of the show just blew wide open at the season’s climax.
So everyone wins out of this, the cast and crew are happy, the fans are happy and there’s the possibility of attracting new fans once the show starts appearing on Amazon Prime Video. The video also has small teases of what’s to come in Season 4, I can’t wait to where this goes next.
Do yourself a favor and start watching The Expanse when you can, and give it some time. The Expanse is full on sci-fi brilliance in TV format, and you’ll find yourself getting hooked fairly quickly.
