The Fast and the Furious

Universal Pictures is gearing up toward the Fast X trailer any day now. In the meantime, the studio released The Fast and the Furious legacy trailer on what started this franchise nearly twenty-two years ago.

Fans should recall that the concept of the film was fairly simple with the thrills of fast cars and action. Now the franchise is larger than life with impossible stunts, fights, and mind-boggling storylines.

The original cast of The Fast and the Furious included Vin Diesel, the late Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Rick Yune, Chad Lindberg, Johnny Strong, and Matt Schulze. Rob Cohen (DragonHeart, Stealth) was behind the helm that started it all.

The original story followed an undercover Los Angeles police officer Brian O’Conner, who must decide where his loyalty really lies when he becomes enamored with the street racing world that he was sent to destroy.

Only Dom Toretto (Diesel) remains in all ten films with recent appearances with Letty (Rodriguez) and Mia Toretto (Brewster). The tenth installment of the film franchise has the Fast Family against the militaristic strategist Cipher (Charlize Theron) in her ploy to shift world powers. Jason Mamoa, Brie Larson, and Rita Moreno join the cast.

In the meantime, let’s live our lives ¼ of a mile at a time.

As for Fast X, the trailer drops on February 10. Can’t wait.
