On October 14, Halloween Ends. The story of Laurie Strode began in John Carpenter’s 1978 classic horror-thriller Halloween will come to an epic conclusion as she faces off for the last time against the embodiment of evil, Michael Myers.

To get us ready for that final fight, which Universal Pictures promises to be unlike any other captured on-screen before, they have released a new featurette. This one features icon, Jamie Lee Curtis. She talks about her journey that concludes in Halloween Ends. Check it out below.

Curtis is often referred to as horror’s first “final girl” for her role as Laurie Strode. She has portrayed Laurie now for more than four decades, one of the longest actor-character pairings in cinema history.

Even after all that time, audiences are excited to see what is next in the Laurie Strode/Michael Myers story. When the franchise relaunched in 2018, Halloween shattered box office records. It became the franchise’s highest-grossing chapter. Setting a new record for the biggest opening weekend for a horror film starring a woman.

Here is the synopsis for Universal Pictures, Halloween Ends

Four years after the events of last year’s Halloween Kills, Laurie is living with her granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) and is finishing writing her memoir. Michael Myers hasn’t been seen since. Laurie, after allowing the specter of Michael to determine and drive her reality for decades, has decided to liberate herself from fear and rage and embrace life.

But when a young man, Corey Cunningham, is accused of killing a boy he was babysitting. It ignites a cascade of violence and terror that will force Laurie to finally confront the evil she can’t control. Once and for all. 

Halloween Ends is directed by David Gordon Green from a screenplay by Paul Brad Logan, Chris Bernier, Danny McBride, and Green based on the characters created by John Carpenter and Debra Hill.

Universal Pictures’ Halloween Ends will premiere on October 14 in theaters and also streaming on Peacock.
