THE FLASH: Kevin Smith Calls First Two Episodes Of Season 3 “Phenomenal”

Writer/director Kevin Smith has been on the CW bandwagon for some time now. Ever since he heard that King Shark made an appearance in The Flash, he was all in. He marathoned the show, and later went on to direct a particularly loved episode of Season 2. Ever since then, Smith has made no secret of his love for the entire universe of shows, and has been one of its biggest cheerleaders ever since (though to be fair, he’s always been a big cheerleader for comic book adaptations in any form).

Smith is back on board to direct another episode of The Flash in Season 3 (not to mention an episode of Supergirl‘s second season), and the filmmaker recently took to Facebook to give fans a look behind the scenes of the series. In the video, he talked to a few people important to the production, and gave a timeline as to what they’d be doing in the next week or so. It’s an interesting insight to those interested in the nuts and bolts of the process, but admittedly nothing too exciting.

Smith closed out the video by praising the couple of episodes of the season he’s already seen, stating:

“They’re shooting episode 6 right now, so I’ve seen episode 1 and 2 cut together. Phenomenal. Phenomenal. The bar is high, so I’m kind of worried about that.”

These words are not altogether unexpected from Smith. As stated above, he’s always been a wonderful cheerleader for the show, and given that he’s working on it, he couldn’t very well trash it. That being said, this video is yet another reminder that we’re less than a month away from the Season 3 premiere of The Flash, and about ready to head into the fall TV season.

What do you think of Smith’s praise? Do you think the premiere of The Flash will meet expectations? Let us know in the comments down below!
