THE FLASH: Kiersey Clemons To Star In DC Film As Iris West

A few weeks ago, WE REPORTED THAT DOPE actress Kiersey Clemens was the top choice for the role of Iris West in the upcoming FLASH film from DC and Warner Bros.

Now, according to Variety, insiders claim that Clemens is even more likely to play the friend, journalist, and love interest of Barry Allen. While this is by no means an official confirmation (and the wording in the article is annoyingly noncommittal), odds are good that Clemens is all but guaranteed jump onto the DC project.

This would be a great addition to the cast which, as of this writing, only has Ezra Miller attached to star. The film faced a minor setback earlier this year when the film’s director Seth Grahame-Smith exited the project, citing creative differences with the studio. Luckily, Rick Famuyiwa, the more experienced director of last year’s DOPE, hopped on board to helm the film.

The casting of Clemens would also make sense considering the actress and director worked together before.

What do you think of this casting choice? Will Kiersey Clemons make a good Iris West? Let us know in the comments down below!

THE FLASH hits theaters on March 16, 2018, but in the meantime, you can see Ezra Miller as the Flash in the JUSTICE LEAGUE Comic-Con footage below!
