Is The Flash villain revealed? Yes according to the folks over at The Direct. Yesterday the outlet ran an exclusive story claiming to know what villain Barry Allen will face in movie. As for accuracy, I’m not sure. The Direct‘s MO is pretty much to take any story from any other source and get it out there as quickly as possible, that’s how they’ve made their name so far. It has been few and far between when the outlet has run exclusives. Though, in my opinion, that’s a good sign. My guess is that the outlet would not run this unless they were confident, so I will assume this is legit information.

Still here? Ok, here is what was said by The Direct about The Flash villain. Specifically they also mention the fact that two Barry Allen’s were spotted on set before getting into this.
The Direct can exclusively report that this “other” Barry Allen will serve as a primary villain in the movie, acting as a “Dark Flash” antagonist to the displaced Barry Allen. According to our sources, elements of this plotline will be heavily inspired by the “Flashpoint” comic storyline and the villainous Reverse-Flash.

If true, this is hardly that surprising. Given the original Flashpoint story used Reverse Flash as the villain. However there is certainly a difference, as Reverse Flash, whilst having the same powers as Flash, is not Barry Allen. Is there a reason this version of Flash wants the timeline to go a certain way, or is he just evil? Hopefully it’s the former as I always felt like Reverse Flash was just the bad Barry Allen, which isn’t that interesting.
