The Hillside Strangler: Devil In Disguise Trailer | Four-Part Docuseries

On August 2, Peacock will debut a brand new four-part docuseries titled, The Hillside Strangler: Devil In Disguise. It will offer a new in-depth look inside the minds of the infamous serial killing cousins Kenneth Bianchi and Angelo Buono. They allegedly impersonated off-duty police officers to lure victims to their deaths. Then dump their bodies on the hillsides of East Los Angeles. Below is a trailer for the series.

Here is a little background in case you need to be brought up to speed. Kenneth Bianchi was arrested in 1972 in Washington for the murder of two women. At the time he was not a suspect in the murders in Los Angeles. But due to similarities in the killings, investigators quickly began to question him on those as well. Bianchi responded by flip-flopping back and forth alternately denying and confessing to the murders in LA and Washington. He claimed to have a split personality and that some of his killings were committed by an alter-ego. Then implicated his cousin Angelo Buono in the LA Killings. He had even gone as far as convincing an innocent woman to attempt murder to try and create an alibi.

Here is the synopsis for The Hillside Strangler: Devil In Disguise

THE HILLSIDE STRANGLER: DEVIL IN DISGUISE raises new questions around the psychology of Kenneth Bianchi, was he a cold-blooded killer who conned those in his orbit, or a madman coerced into confession? Or is it possible, as Bianchi has claimed in recent years, that the truth may be even more complex? The series takes a deep dive into Bianchi’s psychological analysis tapes and features audio recordings from the months following his arrest, leading up to his conviction. This four-part series features new and exclusive interviews with those close to the case, including Bianchi’s former girlfriend at the time of the Los Angeles killings, Sheryl Kellison.

This four-part series debuts on August 2, exclusively on Peacock.
