The Kitty Pryde Movie Is Dead, Says Director Tim Miller

Remember that odd period in time when 20th Century Fox’s acquisition by Disney was inevitable? In spite of this, the studio seemed to be developing more projects than ever before, including the likes of Doctor Doom, Multiple Man, and Kitty Pryde. In the wake of the actual acquisition, it looks like most of the projects have been scrapped in favor of whatever plans there are for the MCU.

As a result, it’s no surprise that the Kitty Pryde movie has been officially declared dead by Terminator: Dark Fate helmer Tim Miller, who was working on said Mutant flick. Here’s what he said to ComicBook.com.

“I love the X-Men. I don’t expect Marvel to call me and say, ‘Come do the X-Men,’ so I’m not waiting for that. I was really excited about my Kitty Pryde movie. F**k, I love that movie. It’ll never happen now.”

While I can’t say I was thrilled at the prospect of a Kitty Pryde movie, it is significantly more disappointing after seeing Miller’s enthusiasm for that. Whenever you have someone that excited about the project, it’s hard not to at least have some hope for it.
