The Last Word: Opening Night Theater Carpet Interviews [Exclusive]

Who has the last word?

In a touching comical theater play, The Last Word is a story about a highly successful book author whose wife has always anonymously written the last paragraphs of each novel.

The story follows the authors’ attempt to finish his novel, but to little fare after the sudden death of his wife. He calls for his muse and she appears as a ghost. His wife helps him finish his novel or rather to help him move on with life.

The play cast stars John Kapelos (The Shape of Water, Suits), Tom Katsis (Lincoln Vs. Bush, The Money $hot), Barbara Niven (Chesapeake Shores, A Perfect Ending), Carole Ita White (Laverne & Shirley, Falling Down) and Isabella Hofmann (Burlesque, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow). The play is directed by Kate Johnston (Tru Love, Turn Left) and written by Jan Miller Corran (Snapshots).

LRM Online was at the premiere opening night for The Last Word this week. We’ve interviewed the entire cast about the production for this emotional and funny play.

The Last Word is currently playing at the Garry Marshall Theatre in Burbank, Calif. until November 17. Please visit www.garrymarshalltheatre.org for ticket information.
