The Lego Movie Sequel Gets Official Title And Poster

It has been four long years since we received the absolute delight that was The Lego Movie. A sequel has been in the works for a while now and today we get a title and poster for the film. The film will be called, The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part. The film is set for release next February. You can check out the film’s first poster below.

The first film was co-directed and co-written by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, though this time they are stepping out of the director’s chair and the two will stick to writing the screenplay, with Raphael Bob-Waksberg (BoJack Horseman) performing a rewrite, as well as contributions from Matt Fogel and Michelle Morgan. The sequel will be co-directed by Mike Mitchell (Shrek Forever After) and Tricia Gum, who, besides a couple of short films, will make her directorial debut with the film.

While the plot of the film is unknown, the story is said to beset several years after the first film and focus on the differences in how boys and girls play with toys. most of the cast is expected to return including, Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, and Will Arnett.
